MONASTERY TOKENS

In response to Ed Krivoniak's question about Monastery Tokens, Gar Travis writes: "I would guess they are Communion Tokens. A web search can locate a number of references. I would also recommend the text 'Communion Tokens of the United States of America by Autence A. Bason 1989 (privately produced - may be found through numismatic book sellers)." [Most communion tokens are made of metal such as lead, not cardboard. A web search on "monastery tokens" turned up nothing of relevance. Any other suggestions for Ed? -Editor]
