THE ASYLUM IS ON THE WAY  

  President Michael Sullivan informs us that the latest 
  issue of The Aslum is now in the hands of our Secretary- 
  Treasurer Dave Hirt, who is in the process of labeling  
  and mailing them to members.  As noted in the last mailing, 
  this issue contains a copy of our proposed Constitution  
  and Bylaws. 
   

EMAIL LIST POLICIES  

  We've formulated the following policies for submissions 
  to the NBS mailing list:  

  The NBS email list is intended for announcements and 
  other news of general interest to its subscribers. 
  Submissions are accepted but inclusion and editing is 
  at the sole discretion of the Editor.  The submitter's  
  email address will be included unless otherwise requested.  

  Appropriate material includes: 
        * all NBS organization news 
        * numismatic literature publication announcements  
        * numismatic literature research project requests 
        * announcements of numismatic literature 
          auctions, mail bid sales, and fixed price lists 
        * information about other collector organizations 
           as it relates to numismatic literature  

  Inappropriate material includes: 
        * listings of individual items for sale 
        * URLs of commercial web sites offering 
          literature for sale. 
   

HALF DIME BOOK IN WORKS  

  NBS member Brad Karoleff, VP of the John Reich  
  Collectors Society, has announced the upcoming 
  publication of a new book on U.S. Half Dimes by 
  authors Russ Logan and John McCloskey.  The book 
  is scheduled for release early next year.  For

INTERNET BOOK AUCTION  

    Longtime NBS member and colonial coin researcher 
    Dan Freidus has several items of numismatic literature 
    (mostly American) on sale at the ebay internet auction

    information.

    Occasionally we'll highlight a non-commercial numismatic
